Organisers say the Fun Zone will be a major drawcard for younger visitors, with free rides: from the tea cups, merry-go-round and giant slide to hands-on activities such as cow milking and calf feeding.

People can also compete against family and friends at the Pops Giant Games with oversized outdoor games and large puzzles for ages five-plus – classics such as Jenga and Connect 4 along with new games like Hanging Labyrinth, Giant Bagatelle and Tunnel Ball.

Trade and market stalls focused on lifestyle and rural living will be open from 9am.

Meanwhile, traditional A&P Show favourites will be running across the grounds including woodchopping with the Puhoi Axemen’s Club, sheep shearing, cattle, miniature horses, the Donkey & Mule Society, mounted games and the Cowboy Challenge. Yee-haw!

Families can also watch the Dargaville Medieval Combat Club display, see vintage cars, and interact with Fire and Emergency NZ personnel, Neighbourhood Watch and NZ Police.

The indoor section features baked goods, field and garden produce, floral art, needlework, hand knitting and more

Plus, there’s a plethora of Kids’ Corner competitions including decorated cupcakes, novelty fruit and vegetable creations, jewellery, beadwork and more. Schedules for indoor entries are available at Paper Plus Warkworth and the Warkworth and Mahurangi East Libraries.

The show will have a variety of food vendors to suit all tastes and sites are already booked-up reflecting the ongoing popularity of the event.

So grab the fam and fill your boots!
