Summer groove in Kaipara Flats

Organisers of the Grassroots Summer Groove event at Kaipara Flats – a relaxed, family-friendly music festival held in support of the Kaipara Flats Sports Club – say it was such a success that it will be repeated next year.

The event raised $2000 which will go towards the a sports club extension project. A strong lineup of local talent kept the crowd entertained throughout the day with performances by Lindsay Duncan and George Brooks, The Flashbacks, Kenny Luond, MRMeaneR, and crowd favourite headliners Dads After Dark.

Organisers say the event was a clear success, not only as a fundraiser, but also as a celebration of community spirit. They thanked Mason Contractors, The Power Guy, Northland Waste, and the Kaipara Flats Sports Club Committee for their support.
