
New roadworks will take place on Hibiscus Coast Highway in Silverdale as Auckland Transport makes improvements to the road layout.
Works will take place from Sunday April 19 to Tuesday June 30, overnight from 8pm to 5am. The works will improve traffic flow and access to the Hibiscus Coast Bus Station.
AT says factors such as wet weather could mean a delayed start.
The works include installing a new bus-only right-turn lane into Painton Road; re-aligning lanes to improve traffic flow; widening the road between Alberto Lane and Painton Road; adjusting kerbs, traffic islands, traffic lights and street lights.
Additional pavement repairs works are also schedule to take place follow these road layout changes.
There will be two nights of full road closures in place Painton Road from 11.45pm to 5am between April 27 and May 6.
Between April 19 and April 30, there be three nights of full road closures on Alberto Lane.
Traffic controllers at either end of these roads will help residents access their properties.
On-street parking will be limited during the works.
Auckland Transport says some level of noise and vibration are expected due to construction.
Buses to Hibiscus Coast Highway Bus Station will continue to run during construction hours.
