The Tahi Bar + Kitchen was named New Zealand’s Best Entertainment Venue of the Year at the Hospitality New Zealand Awards for Excellence, hosted in Rotorua at the end of last month.
This is the second time the Warkworth bar has received the award, having first won it in 2024.
Co-owner Rachel Cooney said she was especially delighted to win the award while competing against venues from cities such as Auckland and Wellington, which have significantly greater resources.
“I was shocked and delighted when we won, and I also felt really proud to be from Warkworth, because I think it can really help bring more tourists to the town,” Rachel said.
