Village Midwives

Village Midwives has moved into a welcoming new clinic in the heart of Silverdale Village, making it even easier for families and whānau from the Hibiscus Coast and surrounding areas to access personalised, continuity based maternity care.

Located at 3/12 Silverdale Street, the experienced team of Lead Maternity Carer midwives includes Amy Hunt, Cat Mclean, Angeline Selman, Jenna Marshall and Jodi Guthrie. Together, they provide comprehensive maternity care throughout pregnancy, labour, birth and the first weeks of life with a new pēpi.

The team cares for families and whānau across the Hibiscus Coast area, with some of the team extending to Warkworth, Makarau and the Kaipara Harbour region, south to the North Shore, and the surrounding rural communities. They support births at North Shore Hospital, Warkworth Birthing Centre, or at home, depending on each person’s preferences, circumstances and clinical needs, with the option of Helensville Birthing Centre and Waitākere Hospital.

Midwives monitor the health and wellbeing of the parent and their pēpi, referring to obstetric or other specialist services when additional care is required. Support continues after birth with regular home visits throughout the first four to six weeks as families adjust to life with their new baby.
