A passion for golf and a desire to make the game more accessible led three Coast locals to launch a new indoor golf experience on Florence Avenue in Ōrewa.

All Time Golf, opened in December by Kieren Smith, Jonathon Kumar and Steven Chisholm, is already building a following as a fun, social way to play golf year-round.

The venue features four high-tech simulator bays, each catering for up to four players. Whether it’s families looking for something fun to do together, or keen golfers wanting to improve their swing during winter, the venue offers a relaxed and welcoming environment.

Smith says the advanced ball-tracking technology and realistic graphics, means players can analyse every shot in real time, from swing path to strike accuracy, or upload the data later for analysis.

“It’s part driving range, part course play, and part entertainment, making it just as appealing for beginners as it is for experienced golfers.”

It is also fully licensed so players can enjoy a drink while golfing, with a food menu offering tasty bar snacks like chips and pizzas.

Smith says the focus is on creating a space where anyone can feel comfortable giving it a go. “We run a ladies’ night once a month, and we even turn one of the bays into karaoke. It’s a no-pressure environment, especially for those who haven’t played before.”

Open 24/7 for members via an app, with public sessions from Wednesday to Sunday, All Time Golf is designed to fit around busy lifestyles. The venue also offers regular league competitions, social events like ladies night.

Coach Oli Newman recently joined the team and plans for a youth academy are on the horizon.
