There may be new faces at Citywide Kitchens on Morrison Drive in Warkworth, but new owners Debbie and Dave Sutherland say customers can continue to expect the same high standards of quality and service that have built the company’s strong reputation.
The couple say they are committed to maintaining Citywide Kitchens’ tradition of delivering beautifully designed, bespoke cabinetry crafted with quality materials and expert workmanship.
Debbie and Dave are also the owners of Cutshop North Shore, a contract manufacturing company with longstanding ties to Citywide Kitchens.
“We were very familiar with Citywide Kitchens before taking over from Pete and Rachael Hill last month,” says Debbie. “Citywide has been a customer of Cutshop North Shore since the business began, so we’ve had the opportunity to see firsthand the quality of their work. That gave us the confidence to continue what Pete and Rachael have built.”
For Dave, the move represents the fulfilment of a long-held ambition to own a business that combines design, manufacturing and installation.
“Citywide Kitchens ticked all the boxes for me,” he says. “Whether it’s a renovation, a new build or a small cabinetry project, I want every client to feel that we have met, and ideally exceeded, their expectations.”
While kitchens remain at the heart of the business, Citywide also designs and manufactures custom wardrobes, vanities, laundries, shelving and a wide range of other cabinetry solutions.
Originally from South Africa, Debbie and Dave have called New Zealand home for more than 20 years. Debbie spent many years working in nursing and describes herself as a passionate gardener and homebody who treasures time spent with family.
“My home is my haven,” she says. “But Dave and I also love exploring New Zealand in our campervan whenever we get the chance.”
Dave is a qualified accountant, but says he has always been drawn to more creative and hands-on work environments. Outside of business, he enjoys exploring the North Island on his adventure motorbike.
