Families and individuals across Rodney now have greater access to specialist neurodevelopmental and mental health services with the opening of Connected Minds – Mental Health & Neurodevelopment Specialists.
Officially launched in April 2026, Connected Minds was founded by Warkworth-based Nurse Practitioner Jam Jones to provide comprehensive care for children, adolescents, and adults experiencing ADHD, autism, and other mental health concerns. The clinic was established to reduce long wait times and the uncertainty many people face when seeking specialist support.
A Nurse Practitioner is a registered nurse with advanced education, clinical training, and the demonstrated competence and legal authority to practise beyond the level of a registered nurse.
Nurse Practitioners work autonomously and in collaboration with other health professionals to assess, diagnose, prescribe medications, provide treatment, and manage people with common and complex health conditions.
With more than 16 years of experience, Jam recognised the growing need for accessible neurodevelopmental care in Rodney and established Connected Minds.
The clinic provides assessment, diagnosis, prescribing, medication management, ADHD and executive function coaching, and ongoing support through a seamless model of care. Guided by its philosophy, “Assessment.

“Too many families were waiting months for answers or navigating multiple services before receiving the help they needed,” Jam said.
Connected Minds operates from consulting rooms in Warkworth and Orewa and also offers secure telehealth consultations.
