Wellsford construction company Wharehine looks set to become a very small cog, in a very big wheel.
The French-based international construction company Vinci Construction has made an offer to acquire 100 per cent of Wharehine Group Holdings, and is seeking Overseas Investment Office approval to seal the deal. A decision is expected soon.
Wharehine is one of the area’s most established companies and largest employers, involved in major civil infrastructure projects, civil construction, road maintenance, quarries, transport and a heavy engineering workshop.
