Coast lawyer Richard Worker has officially opened the doors to Millwater Law, which began operating on July 1.
The firm offers legal services ranging from residential conveyancing and estate planning to commercial law and relationship property. Richard says he wants clients to feel supported in making informed decisions.
“I’d like people to feel confident in the advice that they’re receiving. I don’t want to tell people what they should and shouldn’t do, but give my thoughts and opinions so they can decide,” he says.
Richard has practised law for around 40 years and has worked on the Hibiscus Coast since 2002. He says the decision to open a new firm in Millwater had been a long time coming, after he and his fiancée and law firm colleague, Christine Granger, fell in love with the location when they moved there seven years ago.
Millwater Law’s team of seven staff is one of the firm’s greatest strengths, Richard says, with the close-knit team sharing a commitment to providing friendly, reliable service and building lasting relationships with clients.
Christine says the brand’s vintage design was chosen to tell a story upon entering.
“The interiors were designed to evoke a sense of timelessness and warmth, creating a space where clients immediately feel welcome and at ease.”
Richard is a well-known figure in the community. Along with being the Chair of Age Concern Rodney and Silverdale Business Association, he’s on the Board of Trustees at Centrestage Theatre. Millwater Law is also supporting Northern School of Performing Arts’ School of Rock, the Rodders Beach Festival, the New Zealand Walk of Fame Star for Richard O’Brien of The Rocky Horror Show and Centrestage Theatre Productions.
