Ōrewa businesses talk continued town centre crime

Crime affecting retailers in Ōrewa town centre, which Destination Ōrewa Beach says is a daily occurrence, was the topic of a meeting held by the business association on Friday, March 24.  As well as 30 representatives of Ōrewa businesses, Whangaparāoa MP Mark Mitchell, Waitematā North area commander Inspector Matt Laurenson, and members of Community Patrol NZ attended.  The idea was to share information and discuss possible solutions.
