Family photos, slides and negatives are precious but many of us have them stored away in boxes and albums, vulnerable to damage or loss. Hibiscus Coast business Photos2Digital offers a unique in-home service which helps families protect these memories.

By turning them into digital files they can be stored on memory sticks, hard drives, online, and easily shared with friends and relatives.

The service is run by Nina Graham, who first discovered her love of photography while working as a Nikon sales representative. Faced with her own piles of family photos, she began experimenting with ways to preserve them. What started as a personal project soon became a passion.

Being able to see  images from the past come back to life in digital form, and hear the stories that go along with them are part of why she enjoys what she does and inspired her to start Photos 2 Digital.

Her business is designed with convenience in mind. Nina brings everything she needs in a wheelie bag specifically designed for professional equipment so your irreplaceable photos never have to be sent away. “All I need is a plug point, a table and the pictures to work with,” she says. Working on site  eliminates the risk of images being lost or damaged in transit, while giving families confidence that their memories are handled with care.

Although technology made the business possible, Nina’s focus remains on people. She enjoys helping families reconnect with their past and ensuring photographs are preserved for future generations.

Nina says she looks forward to helping more Coast families finally tick photo digitising off the to-do list and know their special memories are safe.
