Re Burger has arrived in Warkworth, bringing its fresh-made burger experience to the growing community north of Auckland.
Having built 12 Re Burger stores across New Zealand, few people are better suited to run their own store than Kapil Prabakhar.
“Once I finished building them, I could see how quickly people loved the product, and I told myself that maybe one day I could open my own place,” Kapil said.
Originally from India, Kapil has lived in New Zealand for 12 years, combining his experience in construction with his passion for food.
The idea of bringing Re Burger to Warkworth came while he was working on the construction of the Mahi Dental building, where he saw an opportunity to bring something different to the community.
“What sets Re Burger apart from other burger restaurants is that we make everything here. Nothing is frozen, and we have options for everyone, including beef, chicken and vegan choices.”
Kapil runs the business alongside his wife, with their two children also part of the family’s journey as they build a new chapter in Warkworth.
The family hopes to make the restaurant a place locals know for fresh food, friendly service and a welcoming atmosphere, while introducing the Re Burger experience to customers from across Rodney and Northland.
For Kapil, the goal is not simply to serve burgers, but to become part of the local community and create a place customers will want to return to.
