Cards and cosplay in Wellsford

A new event celebrating trading cards and cosplay is set to launch at Wellsford District Community Centre, with organisers keen for young people to get involved.

The Decked Out: Wellsford Card Show & Cosplay event will be held on November 14, bringing together fans of Pokémon and sports trading cards for a day of buying, selling, swapping and displaying collections.

The event will also feature collecting workshops, guest speakers and a prize for best dressed, giving attendees the chance to show off their cosplay creativity alongside their card collections.

Organisers, the Rodney Community team, are working with local community partners to create a space where young collectors and cosplay enthusiasts can connect with others who share their interests, while learning more about the hobby from experienced collectors and guest speakers.

Anyone interested in being part of Decked Out, whether as a volunteer, vendor, stallholder or entertainer, is encouraged to get involved early, with stalls expected to be popular among the local trading card and cosplay community.
