The Mangawhai Muscle & Classic Car Club held another successful Easter Hop last month, raising about $12,000 for the Mangawhai Surf Life Saving Club and the Mangawhai Domain. The fundraiser attracted around 300 classic vehicles, of all makes and models. Organisers Rick and Heidi May said that despite the weather warnings for Auckland and Whangarei, which resulted in a smaller crowd than usual, the event was still a successful fundraiser thanks to supporters, businesses and sponsors. “Without them we’d just be spinning our tyres in the mud!”

Organisers particularly acknowledged: The Club Mangawhai, FD Smith Contractors, Pipe Image, JG Civil VCP NZ, Tara Iti, Speedy Signs, Maycon Homes, North Loos by Hire Works, The Wardrobe, No Limits Health & Fitness, Wood St Pizzeria, No Limits Surf Skate Golf, TOAST on Wood St, The Bunker, Four Little Birds and Jo and Jason Thomas.
