Award-winning folk band Albi & The Wolves are gearing up for the adventure of a lifetime – a debut tour across Europe and the United Kingdom in 2026 – but first they’re calling on their fans at home for support.
The high-energy folk troubadours have signed with Fresh Music Booking (Poland) to take their music abroad. To help fund the journey, the band is doing what they do best – hitting the road for a 17-date “Fun-Raiser Tour”, with shows from Warkworth to Dunedin.
Fronted by the Chris Dent, known for his striking appearance as a proud albino and his commanding voice, Albi & The Wolves have built a reputation for exhilarating live shows. Pascal Roggen’s electrifying violin – often played while sprinting through the crowd – adds a wild edge, while Micheal Young (double bass) and Hannah De Koster (drums) drive the rhythm with grooves that hold the energy together.
The band’s sets are packed with alternative folk songs about love, life and laughter, even in life’s toughest moments. Their performances, they say, are about being fully present.
“Rebel against AI, leave your phone at home, and enjoy something real.”
Since forming, Albi & The Wolves have won Best Folk Artist for their debut album One Eye Open, collaborated with EDM giants Mt Eden Dubstep, jammed live with Dave Dobbyn, played at WOMAD NZ, and even performed on Cook Islands Television News.
Albi & The Wolves will play at Warkworth’s Tahi Bar on Friday, October 31 at 7pm.
