Mangawhai band 0800 Belly Up will be one of the acts performing at the festival.

The Loud and Local music festival featuring local bands 0800 Belly Up, Bad Neighbours and Primal A.D will be held at Leigh Sawmill Café on Saturday, October 3, from 7pm.

The event is part of a national, non-partisan Rock en’rol initiative to encourage young people aged 18 to 24 to enrol ahead of this year’s general election, and attendees will be able to enrol at the venue.

Anyone who enrols before midnight on Sunday, October 4, will receive an EasyVote card, which makes the voting process quicker and easier.

Enrolments close at midnight on Sunday, October 25. Tickets are available through Undertheradar.co.nz for $15.
