The show Perfect Gift, organised by the Healing Through Arts and Action Trust (HTAAT), drew plenty of smiles at the Warkworth Town Hall on September 5.
An audience of around 180 people gathered to see the play, directed by top New Zealand dancer Justin Haiu.
HTAAT founder and drama therapist Maxine Axford says the show was outstanding and that it was great to see different groups coming together to pull it off.
“I’ve had so much positive feedback from people already about how much they enjoyed Perfect Gift and seeing all those involved smiling,” Maxine says.
Participants were aged six years and over, and represented Adults in Motion, Kaipara Flats School and Gaya Tree in Mangawhai.
Maxine also praised those who had helped to put the show together and members of Gaya Tree for preparing a community lunch after the performance.
