Term 3 ends this Friday, September 19, so the kids will soon be looking for things to do and parents for ways to keep them amused.
As usual, local libraries have a range of different boredom-busting ideas throughout the holidays, all free of charge, to keep the whānau entertained inside and out.
Highlights this time include escape rooms, VR headsets and visits from local authors. At Wellsford, there’s the chance to make a giant flower for a special springtime dinosaur wall, while at Mahurangi East, there’s a competition to guess the number of lollies in the jar, scavenger hunts and an activity table always available.
And, of course, there are plenty of books to read and other things to do at all our local libraries every day.
