World class opera in Warkworth

Amitai Pati and Eliza Boom will perform in Warkworth this weekend.

The internationally acclaimed voices of soprano Eliza Boom and tenor Amitai Pati will be on stage at the Warkworth Town Hall this Saturday, September 3.

Boom is temporarily back in New Zealand while between engagements in Europe and is spending her time performing with the New Zealand Symphony Orchestra and the Auckland Opera Studio.

She has been involved in many prestigious training programmes, including the Les Azuriales Festival, NZ Opera School, Lisa Gasteen National Opera School and was a member of the inaugural Kiri Te Kanawa Foundation Singer Development Programme.

She has won many awards at singing competitions across Australasia and the world, and next year she will make her Staatsoper Hannover debut, singing Pat Nixon in Nixona in China.

While she has been in NZ, she has co-founded Reo Takurua Winterless Opera – an organisation formed to provide intimate operatic performances and a series of vocal masterclasses in her hometown of Whangarei.

An experienced concert artist, Amitai Pati has toured with the New Zealand Youth Choir, Graduate Choir and the Auckland University Choir.

He is now making his mark on the international stage and recently made a spectacular European debut as Nadir (Les pêcheurs de perles) at the Philharmonie de Paris, where he received rave reviews from critics.

Along with his brother, Pene Pati, and their cousin Moses Mackay, Amitai is a member of the highly successful vocal trio SOL3 MIO. Boom and Pati will be accompanied on piano by Somi Kim.
The concert starts at 5pm. Tickets are $50 for adults and $35 for seniors, and are available at the door or pre-purchase here: https://www.aucklandoperastudio.co.nz/events/eliza-boom-amitai-pati-and-somi-kim-piano-in-concert
