A creeping slip with the potential to cut off Sandspit residents has been marked for action by Auckland Transport.
The affected stretch is on Sandspit Road between the junction with Creek St and Mahurangi East Road, and erosion is clearly visible to passing motorists.
An Auckland Transport spokesperson said the organisation had carried out preliminary investigations and are assessing designs to rectify the problem.
“We will continue to monitor and will action any issues ASAP to ensure road users and customers in Sandspit are not cut off.”
The work is on AT’s list of repairs to be done this year, but no firm date has yet been set.
The spokesperson said there is no current danger to road users.
