Auckland Council is inviting applications for its Love Food Hate Waste grants, offering up to $6000 for projects that help reduce household food waste.
The grants support individuals and organisations delivering practical food waste prevention initiatives, from community workshops and cooking classes to awareness campaigns and digital content.
This year’s maximum grant has increased to $5000 to reflect rising delivery costs, with priority given to projects engaging new and diverse communities.
Past initiatives have helped Aucklanders save money, stretch food budgets and learn simple, achievable ways to make the most of their kai. Applications close on March 15, with successful applicants announced in April.
Details and criteria are available on the Auckland Council website.
