Auckland Council is under pressure to look into alleged historical sand dredging violations along the Mangawhai/Pakiri coast.
Auckland Council (AC) has confirmed it will conduct a full enquiry into long-standing dredging breaches by sand mining company, McCallum Brothers (MBL), after a constructive meeting with sand mining resistance group, Bream Bay Guardians Society (BBGS).
BBGS members met with council representatives on July 7 to urge for a full review into MBL’s environmental track record.
