Tāwharanui Regional Park will be closed until Friday, August 7 at 4.30pm to support essential pest control operations across the park.
During this time, public access will not be permitted, including walking tracks, beach access and all facilities.
The closure aims to continue protecting native wildlife and support ongoing restoration work within the open sanctuary.
The park’s reopening will be subject to operational conditions.
Tāwharanui Open Sanctuary Society says its community planting day on Sunday, August 2 will go ahead as planned. Access to the park will be strictly limited to the planting site, which is located near the nursery.
