Volunteers are needed for a native planting day at Whangaripo Hall on Sunday May 29 from 10am to 12pm. Event organiser Bev Davidson says about 700 trees will be planted on a wetland beside the hall. Auckland Council has paid for the plants. If raining, the planting will be held on Sunday June 12.
