The Chatty Café Snells Beach

The Chatty Café scheme has opened a weekly meeting at Crimson Coast Café in Snells Beach.

The initiative encourages conversations through a designated table where anyone is welcome to sit down and chat with others, free of charge and without the need to book in advance or follow a set agenda.

People can purchase a coffee and stay as long as they like, whether it is five minutes or the full hour.

Chatty Café NZ launched in June and has 37 venues nationwide, from Whangaparāoa to Morrinsville, the Hutt Valley, New Plymouth, Taupō and Christchurch.

The Snells Beach café is held every Wednesday, from 9.30am to 10.30am. Info: chattycafe.co.nz
