A Pink Ribbon Brunch held at the Warkworth Town Hall on May 23 raised more than $5600 for Breast Cancer Foundation NZ.
More than 100 guests filled the hall, most dressed in pink, and enjoyed music from The Mob, a talk by local lawyer Stephanie Paxton-Penman and a brunch prepared by Kowhai Coast Lions and served by hospitality students from Mahurangi College.
An auction, raffles and spot prizes were run throughout, and the prize for best-dressed guest was won by Cathie Dunsford.
Organisers said the generosity shown by those who attended, as well as businesses and individuals who donated prizes, was “marvellous”.
