The proceeds from a night of high fashion on the catwalk organised by Warkworth Rotary were presented to Rodney Women’s Centre last month.
The Rotary on the Runway evening raised $1000, which was presented to centre manager Jo Richardson by Rotary’s Cindy Bakewell, left, and club president Kay Flower, right.
Flower thanked all attendees, sponsors, donors and especially volunteers “whose efforts made Rotary on the Runway a night to remember”.
She added that the evening, which was held last September, was such a success that it was being staged again in October, at the Matakana Hall.
“We are incredibly grateful to the community for showing up in such strong numbers,” Flower said.
