Wainui Golf Club is hosting the Eighty4 Golf Day on April 7, supporting the Big Buddy charity.
The organisers are planning a nine hole event for their clients with an auction to follow the nine hole shotgun.
Head gold professional Mike Duncumb says this is the first year Wainui has worked with Big Buddy and they starting small because of the current climate for large groups.
“However, we are looking forward to making it better, special and different, and setting the ground work for a great event,” he says.
Big Buddy is a mentoring network that matches boys aged between seven and 14 years, whose fathers are absent, with trusted male role models. Info: www.bigbuddy.org.nz
