A group of dedicated knitters has warmed more than just hearts with their latest donation to Youth in Transition. At the April 9 meeting of the Rebus Club of Gulf Harbour, guest visitor Tina Jones, director and co-founder of the charity, was presented with 15 handmade blankets for young people taking part in the charity’s “Journey Back to Awesome” programme.
The colourful, lovingly crafted blankets were created by members who were inspired by Tina’s earlier talk about the charity’s work. The knitters were moved to take action and, knowing their efforts are appreciated, many have now committed to continuing their blanket-making as an ongoing act of support.
Youth in Transition (YIT) is a registered charity located on the Coast, committed to walking alongside young people aged 10 to 24 as they navigate mental health challenges.
