A company promoting what it calls intergenerational co-housing will hold an information session in Warkworth to outline its concept.
Circle Living is behind New Zealand’s first purpose-built intergenerational co-housing neighbourhood in Tākaka and a new neighbourhood currently underway in Wellington.
Co-founder Simone Woodland says she is hosting the session to gauge whether there is enough interest to create a future neighbourhood in the Warkworth area.
“Unlike conventional developments, co-housing combines high-quality private homes with thoughtfully designed shared spaces such as gardens, workshops and a common house.
Residents know their neighbours, share resources and create a supportive community while maintaining the privacy of their own homes.”
