Silverdale construction company Sub Zero Waterproofing has launched a charitable initiative aimed at giving one Auckland family or community group the chance to live in a warm, dry and healthy home.
The programme, called DryHomes For All, runs through to the end of August and invites the public to nominate someone living in a damp or leaky home. Nominations can be for a family, an individual, a community organisation or an elderly neighbour in need.
Director Giovanni Spadotto said the initiative was about giving back.
“We’re proud to lead this initiative and give back to the community that supports us, as part of a broader mission to ensure healthy living conditions for all Kiwis,” he said.
The recipient will receive a full waterproofing package covering both labour and materials. Sub Zero will also call on its network of trades and suppliers across Auckland to donate time and resources, turning the project into a collective effort.
Mr Spadotto said the aim was to make a real difference during winter.
“Our goal is not just to fix a roof or seal a wall, it’s to change someone’s daily reality and bring a bit of hope during a tough winter,” he said.
Nominations are open on Sub Zero’s social media pages until the end of August, with the winning household or charity chosen soon after.
