The Waipū Residents and Ratepayers Association has received $1000 for a community support fund for Waipū projects. The grant was part of the $262,000 distributed to 24 local organisations from the Whangārei Communities Fund. The funding supports projects that celebrate culture, strengthen community wellbeing, enhance recreational opportunities and protect the environment. Whangārei Riding for the Disabled was also a recipient, receiving $10,000 for operating costs, supporting 72 riders.
