Congratulations to Ophel Lahouille, a volunteer at Mangawhai Museum, who was nominated for a delicious cup cake treat, compliments of Four Little Birds. Ophel was nominated by museum manager Angela Cook (left), who wrote:
On top of working in three hospitality roles across Mangawhai, Ophel volunteers on the front desk with a massive smile and has filmed and edited films documenting the hard work of museum volunteers and capturing stories of Mangawhai – including expanding on the story of The Big Dig. Anyone who meets Ophel cannot believe how cheerful and helpful she is. She’s the kind of person who, if she learns you’ve had a drink leak all through your bag, will make you another one and bring it through with a grin. She is leaving us soon for France and will be greatly missed by so many in the community.
