“Mrs Garner was a Matakana School bus driver for 44 years whose last run was May 23. She picked up and dropped off generations of school kids, especially on the Point Wells and Omaha runs. She often decorated her bus at different times of the year making it a fun ride for the kids. She went above and beyond, was very reliable and the parents all trusted her with their kids. Also, she always had a smile on her face! So thanks Mrs Garner, we’ll all miss you. Enjoy your long-deserved retirement. Love from all the kids and parents from your decades of school bus runs for Matakana School.”
