To the rescue! Men’s Shed upgrades cupboard for sewing group

From left, Patrick, Ross, Bill and David delivered a storage cupboard to the Warkworth Library for the Fabric Rescue sewing group.

A stitch in time saves nine, as they say.

So when community group Fabric Rescue needed to upgrade a new storage cupboard for the sewing sessions it holds at the Warkworth Library, they reached out to Men’s Shed Warkworth.

The cupboard, which was sourced locally, required shelves and wheels, not to mention a lock.

The Men’s Shed duly obliged and not only fixed up the cupboard but also delivered it to the library about a fortnight ago.

Fabric Rescue’s Christine Olsen said the sewing group wished to thank the shed for their wonderful workmanship and also extended a special thanks to Patrick, Ross, Bill and David, who “kindly delivered the cupboard”.
