Foundry Chocolate wins again

Silverdale based craft chocolate makers Foundry Chocolate were awarded five Gold medals in New Zealand’s Outstanding Food Producer Awards, for their single origin craft chocolate bars and drinking chocolates.

In total Foundry Chocolate collected five Golds and four Silvers.

The Outstanding Food Producer Awards, overseen by head judge Peter Gordon, celebrate the Kiwis who harvest, grow and produce New Zealand’s food and drink.

Foundry Chocolate co-founder and chocolate maker, David Herrick said he was thrilled with the results and the ongoing awards recognition for Foundry’s craft chocolate.

“To have all of our entries win such prestigious New Zealand based awards, and to be recognized among so many other skilled New Zealand food producers, is humbling,” he said.

Based in Silverdale, Foundry has won multiple local and international awards over the past few years.

“This is recognition of the continual work we are doing to improve our chocolate making craft, and it goes to show that while Foundry is carefully growing both in New Zealand and offshore, our investment in the time we’ve dedicated to continually learning, testing and improving is working. We will never compromise the quality or ingredients of our chocolate and will continue to strive to make the best chocolate in the world.”

The newly winning chocolate bars can be ordered at www.foundrychocolate.co.nz and at its retailers.
