Growing old delightfully

Growing older may be inevitable, but author Jennifer Gini argues there is no reason not to have some fun with it. Readers have the chance to win a copy of her new book Growing Old Delightfully, which is a playful and practical guide for people approaching retirement or already there, combining research with Gini’s own observations about navigating later life.

The 176-page book looks at both the financial and non-financial sides of retirement, covering health and wellbeing, money management, motivation and ways to remain mentally and emotionally engaged.

It also ventures into some distinctly modern challenges of ageing, including scams, loneliness and using artificial intelligence to make everyday life easier and more interesting.

Gini has formal training in zoology and psychology and a Master of Science in psychology. She describes the book as an encouragement for people to avoid some of the common pitfalls of ageing while making the most of the freedom that can come with experience.

Published by Hibiscus Coast Books, Growing Old Delightfully was released last month and is available in paperback and ebook formats, with the paperback retailing for $35.
