Ōrewa College is calling on Coasties to join the inaugural Ōrewa Beach Fun Run on Saturday December 13 with all proceeds supporting upgrades to the school’s fitness centre. 

The event will run from 9am to 10.30am and is hosted by the Ōrewa College Alumni and Friends Trust. 

Set along the sand at low tide, the course offers 2.5km and 5km options, with timed and casual divisions for all ages and abilities. Starting and finishing near Ōrewa Surf Lifesaving Club, the event aims to bring the community together with a shared purpose.

“This is about bringing everyone together: whānau, friends, past and present staff and students,” Ōrewa College alumnus Lewis Bostock says. “It’s a day to celebrate our place and raise funds that will benefit generations to come.”
