The Silverdale & Districts Historical Society chose to honour some longstanding volunteers at its annual meeting.
Three major contributors to the success of the village were awarded Cerificates of Appreciation, which were presented last month – Robin Langdon for building maintence and upkeep, Vera Bartlett for many years on the organising committee and Elaine Dickinson who produces many of the crafts that the village sells and manages the craftshop.
President Ian Hacking says the village’s historical buildings, collection of pioneer artifacts, and beautiful gardens are free for everyone to enjoy because of volunteers.
