Kaipara District Council has appointed Jazz Singh to the role of chief executive.
Singh has had a range of leadership roles in local government including head of finance and budget, and chief of staff in the Mayor of Auckland’s office.
He worked closely with Wayne Brown, overseeing the development of mayoral budget proposals and major initiatives, including water reform, storm recovery and waterfront planning.
He was also involved in work to establish the Auckland Future Fund, a council-owned investment fund established to grow long-term returns from the sale of Auckland Airport shares in 2024.
He was due to start on Monday June 8.
