Better bore and bathrooms on the way

Work on a new public toilet and shower block at Omaha Beach’s William Fraser Reserve is scheduled to start by the end of the summer.

Auckland Council said in its quarterly report to Rodney Local Board that the reserve’s water bore was currently being upgraded by Healthy Waters to make it safe to drink and works for that were almost complete.

Tenders to build the toilets had been submitted in September and a contract was due to be awarded, with building work expected to start in March.
