A mechanical workshop in Te Hana was totally destroyed by fire last Thursday evening (June 4).
Fire & Emergency crews from Wellsford, Kaiwaka, Maungatūroto, Warkworth, Whangārei and Auckland attended the blaze, with officers remaining on site until 1.30am to monitor hot spots.
Traffic on State Highway 1 was diverted for several hours and was still down to one lane on Friday morning.
Fire services says the building was vacant at the time and no injuries were reported.
