Bookings have opened for this year’s inorganic waste disposal service. Collections in Mahurangi will start in Puhoi around mid-year, working slowly north in August, September and October. Households can book a collection for up to one cubic metre of material (roughly the size of one small trailer-load). The cost of the collection is $23.29, which is included in the waste management targeted waste rate on the annual rates bill. Residents can book their collection at any time of the year, until bookings close for their area, 12 days before that collection week begins.
