The Leigh Bowling Club Triples and Fours were played last month. The winners of these two events, along with the Singles and Pairs winners, who were decided last year, will be entered in the Northland Champ of Champs to be played next month. These events have the winners in each event from each club in Northland. The Leigh entries will be: Singles – Lance Michell; Pairs – Kerry Hyde and Bryn Gundy; Triples – Robert McLean, Kerry Hyde and Bryn Gundy; Fours – Robert Mclean, Dave Johnstone, Keith Brush and Nigel Hawkins.
The weather in January meant there were no tournaments played. The tournaments to be played in 2025-26 season are: President’s Invitation Fours on February 14; Bayleys Triples and Lion Red Triples in March; and Life Member Triples in April.
The Business House Bowls is in full swing again with all the greens full and the clubrooms fairly packed.
Kahu is back cooking her excellent meals on Wednesday and Friday nights. All welcome to attend and enjoy the company and reasonably priced drinks. The Clubroom Bar continues to open at 4pm, Tuesday to Saturday.
