Auckland Council has approved the redesign and sealing of the carpark at the Matakana Wharf. It will spend around $260,000 on the work, as well as refurbishing the pergola.
However, the project is unlikely to start until late next year. When it does, the car park area will be closed while ground work is done, with signage about the project in place. Council says the car park design will take the existing boat ramp into consideration.
