Two Rodney netballers, Kyla Mansell and Jade Ferrari, will play in the Northland U18 netball team at a national tournament in July.
Netball Rodney vice president Lynette Gubb said it would be a great experience for the young players because there would be Future Ferns scouts at the tournament.
“It offers the players exposure and perhaps pathways to a higher level of netball,” she said.
“This achievement marks a significant milestone for the local netball community, showcasing the dedication and potential of these young athletes on a national stage.”
The players will be supported by contributing centres and a $600 player contribution fee per athlete.
The national tournament will be held in Waitakere from July 7 to 10.
