Charmaine Gravatt was made a life member of Mahurangi RFC.

Plenty of players stood out at the Mahurangi Rugby RFC prizegiving at the Warkworth Showgrounds on Saturday, July 19 and not just because they had swapped out their usual kit and footy boots for more formal attire.

Individuals from the Mahu premiers, Bs and 7s had their achievements recognised by friends, family and fellow teammates with a good turnout on the night to celebrate their successes.

Highlights of the evening included Charmaine Gravatt being made a life member, and Shanna and Dave Hodder were named the Club Persons of the Year.

Impressive prems prop/hooker Titera Bura was named Rookie of the Year, while the indomitable openside flanker Robbie MacFarlane was Best Forward.

Second five Cam Taylor picked up multiple awards for his contribution this season, versatile back Jackson Gravatt was awarded Best Team Man, and the Supporters’ Player of the Year went to Mahu captain Ben Dallow, which was well deserved.

The trophy for Most Tries went to centre Ratu Tagivetaua, who snagged seven, and first five Cooper Rodden was recognised for Most Points overall with a tally of 82.
