Construction of a new pump track at Matakana’s Diamond Jubilee Park has been delayed until November.
Work had been due to start next week (MM, Mar 17), but Matakana Community Board chair Simon Barclay said a last-minute requirement for a resource consent that hadn’t been processed in time by Auckland Council meant it had to be postponed.
“In consultation with the contractors and Dobbyn Builders, who are very kindly project managing the build, we have had to delay until November 1 due to the uncertainty of the timing,” he said. “Very disappointing, but it will happen.”
