SH1 speed limit consultation ignores safety issues

Cars already struggle to exit Goatley Road and Kaipara Flats Road onto SH1 at the existing speed limit, which will soon be raised to 100km/h. NZ Transport Agency (NZTA) will raise the existing speed limit on SH1 between the Warkworth motorway roundabout and Sheepworld (MM, Apr 28) to 100km/h by July, which was decided solely by a six-week public consultation.
